For our latest Cover Spotlight, we’ll look at the 2017 yearbook cover from Oak Hills High School in Hesperia, California.
Through a sophisticated laser cut placed on the front cover (seen above), you catch a sneak peek of the bright, colorful palette the school is using for the sections of the interior of their book.
The segments of concentric circles are cut through the Luminaire Black Linen material of the cover. The bright colors on the endsheet contrast greatly with the rich, dark color of the Luminaire Black Linen.
It isn’t until you open the book to the front endsheets that you receive the full intensity of the colors used throughout the book.
