Time for yearbook staffs to get back to work

The holidays are over, and most schools are back in class this week. That means yearbook staffs will be back at work.

Sometimes it can be hard to immediately jump back in after a couple weeks off and hit the ground running. But with half the year gone and deadlines approaching for many staffs, there’s no time to waste.

Here are some things to keep in mind as you get re-started this month:

  • Did you stock up the yearbook room on supplies for the upcoming semester? Batteries for digital cameras, paper and toner for printers, pens, notebooks…
  • Re-examine your ladder to ensure all spreads are properly planned, and your coverage is on track. Make sure your coverage of winter sports and events is on track.
  • How do your sales look? Make another push by identifying non-buyers and sending parents an email or all-call. Target students using one of the guerrilla templates you can find on the Market to Students page, like the Hey You! notes. Or sign up for our free Parent Email Program.
