Winter break arrives this week for schools, which means a time for us all to take a few days to relax around the holidays with family and friends.
However student life continues over the break, providing opportunity for your yearbook staff to capture a slice of this year to look back on years down the road. In our latest Coverage Spotlight, let’s take a look at how the 2016 staff from Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, Maryland, did just that.
Sherwood’s winter break spread took a light approach and covered a wide variety of topics, including a main story on students’ New Year’s resolutions and a package of photos showing off how some students decorate their homes with lights.
There are also two sidebar graphics about gifts that use student quotes – one that uses a handwritten font and looks like a letter, showing what students asked for; and another with a collection of funny responses talking about the worst gifts students received.
