The National Scholastic Press Association announced 16 Walsworth high school and middle schools as NSPA Pacemaker Finalists on Friday for their 2022 yearbooks – the highest awards NSPA gives for yearbook. From the Pacemaker Finalists, a smaller number will be awarded the NSPA Pacemaker in April.
The following 2022 yearbooks that work with Walsworth Yearbooks were named as NSPA Pacemaker Finalist:

- Lair, Drake Middle School, Arvada, Colorado
- Lair, Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, Shawnee, Kansas
- Ledoian, Aledo High School, Aledo, Texas
- Marquee, Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, West Palm Beach, Florida
- Odyssey, University High School, Orange City, Florida
- Oro, Cactus Canyon Junior High School, Apache Junction, Arizona
- Panther, H.B. Plant High School, Tampa, Florida
- The Legend, El Dorado High School, El Paso, Texas
- The Minuteman, Lexington High School, Lexington, Nebraska
- The Round-Up, Woodland Junior High School, Fayetteville, Arkansas

According to NSPA, teams of professionals judge the yearbooks using several criteria, including coverage and content, quality of writing and reporting, leadership, design, photography and graphics. The contest is open to any NSPA member publication.
