Your yearbook staff can get some much-needed time away from school for fun, rest and relaxation this summer. However, there is also plenty of time to squeeze in prep for next year’s book.
Summer workshop is the best place to start laying that foundation. Taking some time to work on theme, cover and tech training now is worth it. Take note of the following, as your staff is getting ready for workshop:
- If you haven’t registered for a workshop yet, it might not be too late! Go to our Workshop Central right now and search for a workshop in your area. You can search by state, month or Walsworth Yearbooks sales rep.
- Meet as a staff before you leave and make a “Goals List” of what you want to accomplish at workshop, or what you want to leave with firm decisions on. This list can include theme, cover, ladder, marketing plan, templates, graphics, fonts, or anything else you want to work on.
- Check your workshop’s website or brochure to see if there is a specific supply list of items you are required to bring. Also, be sure to check for any special events or outings at the workshop and bring the right attire. Pack wisely!
We want to hear about your summer workshop experiences! Let us know all about it at the Walsworth Yearbooks Facebook page, or on Twitter @yearbookforever.
