We challenged schools to tell the story of the year – to record and preserve it for history. You took the challenge and ran with it for the 2022 Photo Contest, proving that this was a year chalked full of memories that will never die. The images were striking, displayed technical mastery and evoked emotion. They captured the spirit of 2022, and we are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2022 Walsworth Photo Contest.
It was one of the most difficult photo contests we’ve ever had to judge. Not only did we have more photographs submitted than ever before – nearly 7,000! – but the quality astounded us. There were so many incredible photos that we even added a surprise ninth category for colleges and universities! In a year that is still learning how to return to a semblance of normalcy, the photos were extraordinary. While each photo was impressive in its own right, these are the ones that our judges felt rose above the rest.
The 1st Place prize winners in each of the nine categories will receive a $150 Visa® gift card and a prize certificate. Honorable Mention winners in each category will also receive a prize certificate.
Winners were selected by a committee of judges based on the basic rules of photography, overall quality, and creativity/originality. You can view the winning photos this week in our 2022 Photo Contest gallery .
