Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) announced 16 Walsworth Yearbooks’ 2019 yearbooks as 2020 Crown Award Finalists today.
The following 2019 Walsworth yearbooks have been named Crown Finalists:

- Ayrie, Liberty North High School, Liberty, Missouri
- Clipper, Kearney High School, Kearney, Missouri
- Hauberk, Shawnee Mission East, Prairie Village, Kansas
- Hilsborean, Hillsborough High School, Tampa, Florida
- Indian, Shawnee Mission North High School, Overland Park, Kansas
- The Marauder, Marcus High School, Flower Mound, Texas
- Odyssey, University High School, Orange City, Florida
- Sword & Shield, Saugus High School, Santa Clarita, California
- The Lair, Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, Shawnee, Kansas
- The Lion, McKinney High School, McKinney, Texas
- The Round-Up, Woodland Junior High School, Fayetteville, Arkansas
- The Tower, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California
In addition, the following 2019 yearbook, which is a Walsworth Yearbooks school for 2020, was also named a Crown Finalist:
- Oro, Cactus Canyon Junior High School, Apache Junction, Arizona
Since 1925, CSPA has honored their members’ top student publications and united student journalists and educator with their peers around the country. They consider design and layout, photography, theme, writing, content and coverage when making their selections for the Crown awards. Middle schools, high schools and colleges/universities are all eligible to compete.
Finalists will be awarded either a Gold Crown or a Silver Crown award in March at the CSPA Scholastic Spring Convention March 18-20, 2020 at Columbia University in New York City.
