Earlier this month on the week of Valentine’s Day, NBC’s morning Today show began a new segment called “Show Heart,” which focuses on random acts of kindness all over the country.
In one of the first “Show Heart” segments, Today reporter Jenna Bush Hager met up with singer Sheryl Crow and traveled to the star’s hometown high school in Kennett, Missouri.
Crow surprised the students and teachers at the school during a pep assembly and then helped present all the Kennett teachers with $600 checks from AdoptAClassroom.org to be spent on supplies for their classroom.
Watch this video of the event at the Today show’s website, and take a look at how old Kennett High yearbooks came into play near the end of the clip, as Hager and Crow take a look back at Crow’s time in high school.
