In this week’s Cover Spotlight, we’ll take a closer look at the 2017 cover of Homestead High School from Mequon, Wisconsin.
The 2017 Homestead yearbook cover (seen above) used a great metallic material called Luminaire Gold linen. Their theme “UPGRADED” is represented in large bold letters on the cover. A white silk screen was applied to the theme, the grid artwork, book name and year.
The metallic gold and white colors, as well as the crisp straight lines of the artwork, created a modern “retro” style to their cover.
Even better, to keep it going the staff cleverly used the angles and lines created on the cover throughout the pages of their book.
