Advice is free, but it’s never cheap when it is given with care and received with enthusiasm. This is the purpose behind Walsworth’s new eBook, Becoming a Mentor.
We’re recruiting mentors for our Adviser Mentor Program. This may be intimidating, so Walsworth has put together a guide to walk you through a year of mentoring.
Becoming a Mentor contains advice from long-time, award-winning yearbook adviser Jim Jordan. He’s been a yearbook adviser for more than 35 years, and he’s been helping fellow advisers for years.
The seven-page guide is arranged in rough chronological sequence – the first two sections cover needs in the first and second semesters. The third section is chock-full of resources for you to use and share with your mentee! The final section includes ideas and inspiration from other advisers, for days when a boost is needed.
We hope you’ll consider becoming a mentor – you’ll receive the bi-weekly Mentor Minute email, access to Jim Jordan and recognition in our Idea File magazine. You’ll also be able to use the title Walsworth Adviser Mentor on official correspondence.
