Day two of the JEA/NSPA Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Indianapolis meant the event was in full swing, as the schedule of sessions and write-off contests began and the exhibit hall wrapped up after its second full day.
Walsworth Yearbooks named prize winners in its booth promotions. Becky Amen, the yearbook adviser from Triad High School in Troy, Illinois, won a drawing for an iPad Pro.
Liza Fertozo from Fishers High School in Fishers, Indiana, got to take home a lighted arrow sign from the Walsworth Yearbooks booth after being named the winner of Walsworth’s coloring contest.
It was a continuation of a great week for Fertozo, the managing editor on the Fishers yearbook staff. She was attending JEA/NSPA after earning a scholarship that paid for her registration fee.
“This is really an amazing opportunity for us to learn more and more, and get a chance to see and talk with so many other students who share our interests,” said Fertozo.
